What to expect:

What is worship like at POP?
Worship at POP is designed for you to celebrate and receive Christ’s peace. All are welcome! Every week, you’ll have the opportunity to sing praises to God, hear from God’s word, confess sin and receive forgiveness, pray with the community, and leave with a blessing of peace. You’ll hear a message that applies God’s Word to everyday life. That part doesn’t change. What does change is the music. One week, you’ll celebrate with the praise band, while another week you’ll sing along with the organ and choir. All worship services on a given weekend are identical so you can choose to attend whenever it works best for you. Communion is celebrated on the first, third, and fifth weekends of each month. Baptism is offered on second and fourth weekends.

How long does worship last?
Worship typically lasts about 60 minutes.

What time should I arrive?
It's a good idea to arrive about 15 minutes early. That way you’ll have time to meet a few people and complete your check-in procedure before worship. We check-in everyone who attends worship at POP. This enables pastors and staff to give care to the POP faith community by understanding who is participating in person and who is connecting from home.

What should I wear?
We don't really have a "dress code" at Prince of Peace, but we do expect people to come fully dressed! 😊 Casual or "Sunday best" is welcome.

Is there something for my kids?
Yes! The POP Tots nursery is open for kids age three and younger. POP Kids Children’s Ministry classes are available during the school year at 9am for kids who are three-years-old through 6th grade. Confirmation class is on Sunday morning at 9am as well. POP Teens Youth Ministry groups meet weekly. Learn more about opportunities for your kids and teens here.

At POP, we love kids of all ages being in worship with their families! If kids get restless in worship, you are welcome to go out to the Shepherd’s Corner just outside the sanctuary to pause while staying connected to the service. Busy Bags are available for all ages, and a Children’s Message is given at the 10:30 service.

What about handicap accessibility?
The POP facility is handicap accessible, and there are a number of seats throughout the sanctuary to accommodate people using canes, walkers, or wheelchairs. If you would like to use the LOOP system for hearing assistance, ask a Worship Host as you enter the sanctuary.
