Altar Guild Ministry Team

Serve the Lord by preparing the altar for Holy Communion. A great fit for spiritual gifts of Administration and Helps or those who like to serve “behind the scenes.” No experience necessary; training is provided.

Funeral Luncheon Food Maker Team

Help provide comfort and hospitality to grieving families by making food for funeral luncheons. We especially need salad providers, you can pick the type! You would be contacted a few days before a luncheon and would then need to drop off the food item at church. You do not need to stay and serve at the luncheon.

Time Commitment: Approximately 3-4 times per year.

POPKids Check-in Team

Help welcome families as they sign in their kids to POPKids. Check in students using iPads, welcome families as the enter the building, and help make visitors welcome. 

Time Commitment: Once a month on Sundays from 8:45-9:15am

Community Clothing Closet Team

Mission partner Palatine Assisting Through Hope (PATH) is looking for additional volunteers to serve in their Community Clothing Closet at 1585 N. Rand Rd. in Palatine. Volunteers sort and hang clothing donations and assist clients who visit the closet.

Time Commitment: Two-hour shifts are available during the day, evenings, and Saturdays. See available shifts here.

Age Requirement: High school students - adults can serve on this ministry team. 6th-8th grade students can serve with parents.

Ringing Saints Handbell Choir

Make beautiful music by joining our handbell choir, Ringing Saints. Music knowledge is nice to have, but not required. We rehearse weekly and lead worship several times a year including holidays.

Time Commitment: Rehearsals are from 7:30-8:30pm on Tuesdays.

Age Requirement: High school students - adults can serve on this ministry team.

POPKids Supply Organizers

Do you have the gift of organization or administration? Make an impact in our POPKids Children's Ministry by organizing supplies for our POPKids classes.

Prayer Now Team

Do you have the gift of prayer and a listening ear? The Prayer Now team provides personal prayer at the end of each worship service.

Scripture Readers Ministry Team

Share God’s Word during the worship service! Volunteers are needed at all worship services to read the scripture lessons. It’s an easy way to serve at a service you already attend. No experience necessary; training is provided.

Kids Hope Mentors at Lincoln School

We are looking for caring, faithful mentors who have a heart for children and can share one hour per week from October-May. Mentors are screened, trained, and matched with students who school staff believe would benefit from having 1/1 time with another positive role model in their lives.

Time Requirement: One day each week from 11:05am-12:05pm or 12:10pm-1:10pm.

IGNITE & FUEL Hospitality Team

Student ministry is looking for people who would like to help welcome youth to FUEL on Sunday  nights or IGNITE on Wednesday nights. Duties entail greeting the youth, helping them check in, and guiding guests.

Time Commitment: Approximately once per month on Sunday nights from 6:15-6:45pm or Wednesday nights from 5:50-6:40pm, September-May.

Coffee Server Ministry Coordinator

Seeds Community Garden Team

We’re planning for the 2018 food-growing season in our Seeds Community Garden with mission partner, Partners for Our Communities (POC). We are seeking people with passions for crop planning, soil preparation, planting, tending, harvesting, teaching kids and adults about gardening, and cooking from the garden. This is a great way to live our mission of growing in relationships with our local community!  
 

Age Requirement: All ages (with parent supervision for our youngest gardeners)

Coffee Server Ministry Team

Come enjoy our new kitchen first-hand by serving beverages and treats on Sunday mornings! It's also a great chance to meet and greet the congregation.

Connection Center Ministry Team

Greet the congregation at the Connection Center and answer questions regarding ministries and upcoming events. This role is a good fit for spiritual gifts of Helps or Hospitality. Additional volunteers are welcome for any of our worship services. Training provided!

Time Commitment: 15 minutes prior to and after the service. You would serve approximately once per month.
