HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF PRINCE OF PEACE?
We encourage regular attendees to become members of Prince of Peace as a commitment to caring about our congregation and doing life together. The New Member Classes will help you get acquainted with life at Prince of Peace and the teachings of the congregation. It will also help you get connected to other people in our church community and help you feel more at home. Going through the classes does not obligate you to join the congregation. You're very welcome to sit in and see where God leads!
If you are interested in attending the class, you can call Susan Klemstein at 847-359-3451, x113 to request a new member packet or download the New Member Class registration form to complete online and then email or mail it to Susan.

Our next round of classes that can lead to membership will take place on Saturday mornings from 9-11am starting April 7 through May 12, 2018. We will start each session with a continental breakfast.
The first session, called Starting Point, will help you learn about Prince of Peace’s vision, values, and ministries. This portion of the class is required for everyone interested in membership.
The remaining 5 sessions are a discussion-based class using the book Getting to Know Jesus to explore Martin Luther’s core teachings and help us grow in relationship with Jesus and each other. This portion of the class is encouraged but optional for Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod transfers, and it is a membership requirement for all other faith backgrounds. The Getting to Know Jesus sessions are also open to existing members of the congregation who would like a refresher on our Lutheran beliefs.
Childcare is available during these classes by contacting the church office in advance.
Please also submit your registration form in advance so that we can prepare for you.
We look forward to getting to know you better, answering your questions, and sharing information to help you decide if Prince of Peace is your church home!
