When You're God

When you’re God
You create everything
And your creation rebels
Eternally against you.

When you’re God
You breathe life into man
Only to have him push you away,
In search of his own power.

When you’re God
You love incomprehensibly
Even when your creation
Doesn’t want to be loved.

When you’re God
You love so much
You’re willing to die
For people who spit on you.

When you’re God
You have to be doubted
By humans on Earth
When they know so much less.

 When you’re God
You listen to your name abused,
Dragged through the mud
When it belongs in praise.

When you’re God
You offer the most perfect grace
To your children on Earth
Who don’t even see they need it.

When you’re God
You forgive the unforgivable
And stand waiting
For your creation to come home to you.
