The Barrington Career Center is a volunteer driven, non-profit agency dedicated to helping people help themselves as they develop search strategies, skills, and conduct an effective job search brought on by unemployment, career transition, re-entry to the workforce, or first-time employment. We serve nearly 1,000 individuals from over 100 communities in Lake, Cook, McHenry, and Kane counties each year. BCC services are available to anyone in need of job search training.

Exodus World Service transforms lives of refugees and volunteers. We educate local churches about refugee ministry, connect volunteers in relationship with refugee families through practical service projects, and equip leaders to speak up on behalf of refugees. The end result is that wounded hearts are healed, loneliness is replaced with companionship, and fear is transformed into hope.

The mission of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry is to provide spiritually mature, equipped, and motivated men and women to serve as Christian chaplains in correctional facilities nationally and internationally. Its purpose is to meet the spiritual needs of both inmates and staff through ministry that includes evangelism, discipleship, and pastoral attention, while facilitating other religious faiths within the guidelines established by law and the individual correctional facility.

La Santisima Trinidad Lutheran Church began as the outreach of Grace Church to the Hispanic community around it. It became an independent congregation and has been served by a Missionary-at-Large since 1993.
Grace Lutheran School in Chicago, Illinois works closely with Grace and La Santisima Trinidad Lutheran Church. The majority of the student body is Hispanic.

H.E.L.P.S. Christian Recovery assists people struggling with addictions from drugs, alcohol or life-controlling issues. H.E.L.P.S. provides shelter, clothing, and food for the homeless and those in need; life skills training; home and hospital visitation; many other services to help with the activities of daily living. Lutherbrook Child and Adolescent Center provides specialized residential treatment for children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. Lutherbrook Academy provides special education for children and youth (kindergarten through high school), including: Lutherbrook children unable to attend public schools and other children in the area needing special education services.

The Palatine Opportunity Center (POC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to those who live or work in Palatine Township. Due to the location of the center, the population served is primarily northeast Palatine. Our Mission: To provide opportunities to the underserved population in the Palatine area and to become active participants in the community through referrals, direct services and other assistance.

The mission of Palatine Assisting Through Hope (PATH) is to establish a PATH by which the people of Palatine can walk with those less fortunate to create an ethnically diverse, yet unified community. Their objective is to build, maintain and perpetually fund a crisis account to aid in supporting people’s basic needs. PATH services include: providing food, clothing and other life essentials, vision testing and eyeglasses for children, after school mentoring programs, equipment and support for special needs children and more.

The Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity (PHD) affirms the values of the lives of women and families facing the issues of pregnancy and parenting and is dedicated to providing opportunities for hope and growth through professional counseling, education and integrated support services to meet the unique practical and emotional needs of each individual. PHD empowers youth to make healthy choices through abstinence education.

St. Matthew’s El Comedor Popular Soup Kitchen in Chicago, Illinois is the only faith-based community outreach program in the Northern Illinois District ministering to a collateral congregation of homeless, unemployed, seniors and children who meet twice a week to be served hot meals at St. Matthew’s soup kitchen. Every meal begins with the Serenity Prayer led by the pastor. Their souls are fed with God’s word and their bodies with hot meals. This is a self-supporting program funded with rummage sales, food catering and private donations.
