Board of Missions

Who we are...
» Consist of a minimum of 7 people—each person serving a 1 to 3-year term.

What is our mission...
» That our every effort compassionately extends God’s love to individuals and families in need, to the heart of our nation’s cities, and throughout the world.

What are our goals and objectives...
» Provide every member with the opportunity to align themselves with compassion-based service beyond just writing a check.
» Continuously REACH, GROW, and SERVE friends and neighbors to Christ.
» Reflect love and compassion by witnessing in word and action where God is working through us in ministry to others.

What we do...
Administrate
» Develop personal and congregational relationships with mission partners.
» Disburse congregationally and privately donated funds and goods.
» Provide personal and congregational time and talents to mission partners.
» Co-operate with various agencies and groups that complement our mission efforts.

Communicate to Congregation
» Inform the congregation of commendable Synod, community, North American, and World mission efforts.

Communicate to God
» Vigilantly pray as a Board and with the congregation for all missions.

Respond to Emergency
» Review and respond to urgent and/or emergency mission needs and/or situations.

Evaluate
» Continually evaluate the mission statements and programs of mission partners we support in order that we both REACH, GROW, and SERVE in our partnership together.

Serve as a Resource
» Connect the congregation and friends to mission opportunities. Provide guidance.
» Provide mission partner updates through the Internet, printed materials, and wall map.
» Provide outreach education opportunities.
» Provide an index of outreach opportunities.

Reach
» Strive to reach out with God’s love to people in our community and on every continent with the vision to reach out to souls in every country of the world.
