2nd Quarter 2017

Mission Grants Awarded during 2nd Quarter 2017:

Blessings in a Backpack-Lincoln School, next to Prince of Peace, recently started a weekend food program through this national organization. More than 50% of Lincoln students are part of the free or reduced lunch program. Social workers identify students who might not have adequate access to food on the weekends, and volunteers pack food bags to send home with the students on Fridays. For more information, contact Prince of Peace member Linda or visit Blessingsinabackpack.org.

The Messiah for Muslims-This new mission organization is seeking to reach more broadly and support missionary work to Muslims around the nation. Pastor Hicham Chehab is the leader of this organization. For more information, contact Pastor Karl or visit muslimsforthemessiah.org.

Restaurants on Mission -The goal of this organization is to create a global chain of non-profit restaurants that will hire and train individuals coming out of reformation and rehabilitation programs in order to provide an opportunity toward upward integration. All profits from each restaurant will go back into the neighborhoods in which they are located in order to improve quality of life. The first restaurant will open in Medellin, Colombia.
