Cru Military-Kurt and Gina Mueller are former Prince of Peace (POP) members who are now missionaries in Hawaii ministering to military families. Our funds will be used for marriage conferences and suicide prevention training for military families. Military Outreach USA-This organization helps veterans exiting homelessness by providing beds, furniture, and household essentials for apartments. Our funds will bed used to purchase new beds and bedding. They accept donations in new or gently used condition. St. Paul Lutheran Church-Prince of Peace member Al Neukuckatz was born in Brazil where his father was a missionary for 15 years. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Worth Texas works with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brazil to provide Lutheran pastors, vicars, orphanages, and schools in Brazil. 4th Quarter 2017

Mission Grants Awarded during 4th Quarter 2017:


Amigos Center-Located in Bonita Springs, Florida, this ministry of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod provides immigrants to Southwest Florida with the tools to be successful and contributing members of our community and the Kingdom of God. This area was hit hard in the Fall hurricanes and our funds are helping provide beds, bedding, and appliances to families who lost everything. Camp Arcadia–This Lutheran camp is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Arcadia, Michigan. It has been a place of rest and renewal for many Prince of Peace members and pastors. Commission to Every Nation –Roger Sieber is a missionary in Bogota, Colombia, where he and his family minister spiritually, physically, and emotionally to a disabled population. Harmon’s Jail and Prison Ministry –This ministry provides in-person weekly bible studies to inmates at the Livingston County Jail. They also offer a Bible correspondence program with inmates in the state prison system. For more information, contact Prince of Peace members Jim & Karen.

Informed Choices –This organization seeks to empower men and women to make informed choices by presenting Jesus Christ to those involved in unplanned pregnancies through the provision of physical, emotional and spiritual support. JOURNEYS the Road Home-This non-profit agency provides shelter, social services and housing to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in north/northwest suburban Cook County. We support their PADS shelter program with meals and also provided Here2Serve and VBS projects. JOURNEYS will become one of our monthly mission partners in 2018. 3rd Quarter 2017

Mission Grants Awarded during 3rd Quarter 2017:

Faith Community Homes-This ministry started in Arlington Heights and has expanded to Palatine. It helps low-income working families with school-age children manage their housing and life challenges with mentoring, case workers, and financial support. For more information, visit www.fchomes.org.

FaithLife Minstries–Former Prince of Peace member Barry Voss started this ministry in 2001 to expand God’s Kingdom through the training and equipping of church and ministry leaders in less developed countries to help them impact their nations for Christ. Haiti Mama–Prince of Peace member Abby Duran will be serving as a social worker with this Haitian organization during 2018. The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM)–TEAM is a global alliance of churches and missionaries. We are helping support Olivia Oleson, who will be a missionary in Spain. 2nd Quarter 2017

Mission Grants Awarded during 2nd Quarter 2017:

Blessings in a Backpack-Lincoln School, next to Prince of Peace, recently started a weekend food program through this national organization. More than 50% of Lincoln students are part of the free or reduced lunch program. Social workers identify students who might not have adequate access to food on the weekends, and volunteers pack food bags to send home with the students on Fridays. The Messiah for Muslims-This new mission organization is seeking to reach more broadly and support missionary work to Muslims around the nation. Pastor Hicham Chehab is the leader of this organization. For more information, contact Pastor Karl or visit muslimsforthemessiah.org.

Restaurants on Mission -The goal of this organization is to create a global chain of non-profit restaurants that will hire and train individuals coming out of reformation and rehabilitation programs in order to provide an opportunity toward upward integration. All profits from each restaurant will go back into the neighborhoods in which they are located in order to improve quality of life. The first restaurant will open in Medellin, Colombia.
